Good morning citizens! It's Thursday and the conference is half over (or half still to come?)

Today's weather is expected to be around 66F and partly cloudy.

We'll have the doors open at 8am, with tea, coffee, and pastries from Sweetpea Baking Company.

The opening keynote by Ashe Dryden http://ashedryden.com/ begins at 9am in the Sanctuary. Ashe is an indie developer living in Madison, WI and working to improve diversity in the tech community,

Lunch is by Veli Thai. LINK?

There are also conference sessions! Refer to http://opensourcebridge.org/events/2013/schedule, or just follow the crowds.

Need a break? Want to rest your introvert head so you'll be fresh for the party tonight? Take advantage of our Quiet Room, A301 at any time.

This might be a good day for a little massage therapy. Niche Massage offers ten-minute sessions from 3-5pm in the hacker lounge. Stop by and sign up!

Know our Code of Conduct http://opensourcebridge.org/about/code-of-conduct/ and our recording policy http://opensourcebridge.org/about/recording-policy/ .

If at any point you need conference-related help, find a volunteer in a purple Open Source Bridge shirt.

This evening:

Kurt Sussman will lead a session on "Hacking your Meatware: exercises you can do at your desk" at 5:45, and there will be a Code 'n' Splode/Geek Feminism meetup at 6:30. The Hacker Lounge has an early closing at 8pm, so everyone can go to the party.

The 5 Years of Open Source Citizenship Party is tonight at OMSI! Doors open at 7pm. There will be 3 separate planetarium showings, access to some exhibits, games and activities, catered food with a cash bar, and more. Map to OMSI: http://goo.gl/maps/TIKqq

To get to OMSI from the Eliot Center on public transit, take the 15 bus -- there's a stop at SW 12th and Morrison -- and walk south from the bridge.

Admission to the party is included with your full conference pass. If you want to bring a friend, party tickets are also available for purchase.

Speaking of friends, your local friends may be interested in tomorrow's unconference, or in this evening's events in the hacker lounge. They can join in -- just tell them to sign up for a Community Pass.

Today is your last chance to nominate someone for this year's Citizenship Award. https://stumptownsyndicate.wufoo.com/forms/citizenship-award-nominees-2013/ We'd like to hear about Open Source Bridge attendees who make an extra effort to help others. We'll announce the winner at tonight's party.

Open Source Bridge runs on volunteers. If you'd like to be a part of that, come by the volunteer lounge, or find Josh, our volunteer coordinator. We'll put you to work.
